WHAT'S NEW AT THE LIBRARY!

CALLING  ALL  CRAFTERS!

Hand Woven BasketsBaked GoodsQuiltsChristmas Ornaments

The library is looking for local crafts people to participate in our annual Christmas Craft Bazaar on Friday, December 4, 2009.  Set up is free. Call the library at 785-5412 for more information.

I miss the bookmobile.Poor Bookmobile :(

If you haven't seen the bookmobile out and about, it's because it's having engine problems.   One of the great mechanics at the Knott County Garage is working on it for us, so hopefully it will be on the road very soon.  Bookmobile folks, just hang on to your books or drop them off in the bookdrop at the Library.  There won't be late charges for them if you checked  them out from the bookmobile.

DonationsDonate your used books to the Library!

Got books that are cluttering up your house or attic?  Why not donate them to the Library.  We prefer gently used books, but we'll take all kinds or conditions.  If we can't use them in our collection, we can sell them at our book sale or put them on the giveaway shelf.

Grant Award Computer Guy

In September, the Library was awarded an Equipment Grant from the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Institute of Museum and Library Services Library Services and Technology Act for a new server, and two new circulation computers.  The equipment has been ordered and we should be receiving it shortly. Thank you KDLA and LSTA for this much needed funding.

I can use the online card catalog again!Online Card Catalog

We understand folks have been having difficulty accessing our online card catalog.  You'll be happy to know that the problem has been fixed and you should be able to search online once again.  If you experience any problems, just let us know by phone or email.
