LIBRARY LIBRARY SERVICES The library offers 10 computers with high speed cable internet for public use. We ask that you sign in at the front desk to use computers. Computer use is offered in 60 minute sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a .10/page for black and white copies and .25/page for color copies. The library has a fax machine available for public use. There is a charge of 1.00 per page to send or to receive a fax. A library worker will assist you.
If the library doesn't have the material you are looking for, we can usually get items from other libraries through interlibrary loan within 1 to 2 weeks.
The library has a varied selection of magazines, such as Time, U.S. News, Kentucky Explorer, Appalachian Heritage, People, Psychology Today, Consumer Reports and Taste of Home, most available for checkout.
A copy machine is available for public use. Copies are .10/page for black and white copies and .25/page for color copies. A library worker will assist you.
We have a growing collection of audio books, both on cassette and CD. Audio books are checked out for a two week period (the same as books). They can be renewed once by telephone. A complete listing is available in our online card catalog.
Our beautiful new bookmobile travels countywide. Contact the library to schedule a stop. Check out the Bookmobile Page to see a current schedule of stops.
We have an extensive collection of Videos and DVDs. We have many new releases and lots of good oldies, too! Movies are checked out for 2 days Mon-Wed; 1 day on Thurs; and thru the weekend, if checked out on Fri. Check the Online Card Catalog to see if we have your favorites!
The library has a story time for preschool age children at 10:30 every Wednesday. Check out the Youth Services page for more information.
We have a small genealogy section which includes census records of Knott and surrounding counties, family records and Knott County history. We require that no genealogy materials be taken out of the library. A copy machine is available for your convenience.
For four weeks each summer, the library offers a summer reading program with special presentations every Friday and a grand finale party the last day of the program. Check out the Youth Services page for more information.
The time we all dread! The library is one of the few places left that provides state and federal income tax forms--most free of charge. If we don't have the form available for a small charge, usually .10/page we can go online and print the forms you need. You can also get tax forms at the Internal Revenue website.
